let me give you some other updates on city operations. the department of homeless services has enhanced street outreach to encourage people on the street to seek shelter. street outreach will continue during the -- city services will be close on monday and also on tuesday. new york harbor will be closed tonight and also on tuesday and cruise ships scheduled to arrive on monday and tuesday have been diverted. the staten island ferry will be available to operate after which service will be suspended until furred notice. let me also remind you that east river ferry service has been suspended. all outdoor filming is suspended for tomorrow. the three public library systems that cover all five borrows will be covered tomorrow. and that includes the new york, queens and brooklyn public library systems. call 311, you can call nyc mayor's office on twitter. but the most important thing i can say right now is that you live in zone a, you must evacuate. we have a plan to keep you and new yorkers safe, if you follow that plan, we'll get through this

all the way to new york city. we're in that cone of uncertainty and winds holding possibly at 70 miles an hour. at some point before sandy makes landfall, we're still expecting that repositioning to take place where sandy is not necessarily a tropical storm but we see it become a hybrid storm. as we take a look over the next 24 to 48 hours, these are the kinds of storm surges we'll see with sandy, all that wind on shore bringing all those waters back to the coastline. as we go to coastal massachusetts, four to eight feet possible from atlantic city to new york. these are going to be life-threatening storm surges possible. we take a look down further on the coast, even north to ocean city. you can see two to four-foot storm surges over the next 48 to 72 hours, even four to six along the outer banks of the carolinas. that is definitely a category 1 hurricane force winds, so power outages will be a huge issue with this as we go through the next couple of days. gusts as high as 60 miles an hour for places as far away
